In the fight to get her father “fired” Jamie as a trustee, Britney Spears has been offered help from the American Civil Liberties Union. This organization believes that the pop star has a right to control her own life and that she can count on their help if necessary.
“People facing certain difficulties still have the right to control their own lives and claim their civil rights. If Britney Spears wants to get out of her father’s yoke, we’re here for her,” said ACLU.

The 38-year-old Spears has wanted to get rid of father Jamie as a curator for some time and would prefer her care manager Jodie Montgomery to take over his duties completely. Since September 2019, Jodie has already temporarily taken over the role of curator, because Jamie was struggling with health problems.
Jamie does not want to budge and recently said in an interview “that this is a family affair”. “Nobody knows what is going on, only us. The media blow up the story enormously and come up with all kinds of conspiracy theories. All I want as a father is the best for my daughter.”
