Apple devices may be a lot more expensive next year due to the ongoing chip shortage.
The cost for the chips of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. goes up. It has been observed that reflected in the price for products that use these chips, such as those from Apple, but also Nvidia and Qualcomm.
Compared to the competition, TSMC has recently increased prices less quickly because it already demanded a relatively large amount from its customers. However, prices will rise from October 1; sources tell Nikkei Asia.
Next year, consumers will probably notice that as soon as Apple, among others, launches new products such as the next iPhone and iPad.
