This afternoon around three o’clock the last passenger flight of a Boeing 747 from KLM, also known as Jumbo jet, lands at Schiphol. The iconic aircraft will retire early at KLM due to the corona crisis.
As of today, KLM only operates 10 percent of the flights it usually would. Until May 3, KLM will fly to 25 intercontinental destinations and 32 cities in Europe.
It’s been about 70 years since the company had such a meagre flight offer, said CEO Pieter Elbers in the TV program WNL Op Zondag.
